I want to share with you a reenactment culled from conversations I have 5-10 times a week. Hopefully, it will be informative to you. It might not be. This was created as more of a rant than anything. It might not be instructive of anything, except for those who have the same type of conversation, or have thought the same things.
Human: IDK why you do things so differently from everybody else? Like these mailing list builders you run, why do you do them? They are stupid and useless.
Me: Because I net thousands of new subscribers every time I run them. Nothing else I've done can get even 1,000 a month.
Human: Those subscribers don't care about you. They are just coming for the shiny new thing.
Me: You're right, but they might like me...eventually, and some of those people who like me will then trust me. And then some of those people who trust me will buy from me. It's just a numbers game at that point.
Human: Why can't you just do it the normal way...the way everybody says to do it?
