I started watching this tonight because of this post! I have a character in my fantasy novel with a similar name as your protagonist: Elorie. Loving it so far.
My teen daughter and I are looking forward to watching the movie, but I didn't realize there was a book as well. How cool! She loves to read, so I'll let her know about it. I've heard of the audition process, but only in general terms. Sounds exciting--congrats to you, Evelyn!
Ah man, I would love to do IP work. As a ghostwriter that's one of the big dreams. I'm fast, too, so I feel like it would be a perfect fit for my skillset. I've thought about it a lot, but breaking in is the big piece of the puzzle I need to complete.
I hope you land an IP gig in the future! This career is full of surprises, so it could happen when you least expect. If you have an agent, make sure they know you are interested in IP work so they can keep their eyes out for opportunities. Wishing you allllll the good vibes for this!
Yes, I like to write Scripps if you haven’t written a movie script, I’d recommend final draft but I’m sure you know that if you would like help or maybe even rereading your script to see if somethings out of place let me, but I’ve created a series of four superheroes that are all based in New Orleans and I’m a fan of marvel and DC, but five years ago I realize if there’s not that many women and there’s not any other than white men and so mine include Korean Chinese black superheroes that are men and women if you’re interested, I’d love to just send you one that you read it and see what you think. It’s a series of three and I think it works out pretty good.
Great to get an insight into an aspect of the writing world that I know so little about
Glad it was helpful to you, Jack!

How wonderful! Hope you'll pick up the book after the movie to spot the differences!
It's on hold on Libby already!

Thank you so much, Steph! I hope she enjoys the book. The ending is different from the movie!
Really amazing, a dream come true!
So cool! Had no idea how this worked. Thanks for sharing.
So happy it was insightful for you, Charlotte!
