How to grow a dedicated audience for your writing fast without breaking the bank or wasting your entire existence in the pursuit of more humans to care about what you do
I appreciate the wealth of info and the encouragement. Although the stuff about freebies and newsletters and ads isn’t new to me, it still feels like A LOT to pack between actual writing. How do you do it?
I generally work in quarters, so I will have one big project per quarter. This quarter is Subtack. Last quarter was Circle. Some of them go great. Others are terrible. I would recommend looking up Sarra Cannon as she does a lot of work with authors planning for what to do next. In general though, I preference my mailing list above everything else, as that's where all/most of my money comes in an how I stay connected with everyone.
This is fantastic. Thanks for all this great advice. Among many of these tips, I love the idea of an anthology. Is it possible to offer a digital-only one (with or without audio narration by the authors), or does it need to be a physical, printed book?

Sara Cannon has helped a lot of people!
Thanks!
Sarra Cannon, the fantasy writer? I just looked her up. Wow! That website is something to emulate.
That's the one. She's the best.
This article was so helpful, thanks! 😊
Yay! Glad it resonated :)

It can be either.
I appreciate it. Lots of think about.
