How Wannabe Press is structured
I share the org chart of my company, which is more complex then you might think
Hi,
Wannabe Press has been the holding company of everything in my business life since I launched it as a DBA in 2014. I count June 2015 as our anniversary, because that is when I left the last company I hope to ever work for, and also the anniversary of when we moved to LA back in 2008. Additionally, it is when I filed as an LLC for the first time, so that timing feels right to me, even though Wannabe Press technically started in October 2014.
Over years it’s expanded and shrank. At one point I owned a Verizon dealership, for instance, which expanded the scope of Wannabe Press, but that dovetailed with the creation of Writer MBA in a nice way.
I’ve tried to do this a couple other times and frankly I just wasn’t doing enough to warrant an org chart. It’s something I only thought I needed now because I kept getting confused about who was responsible for what.
