and I just finished our How to Build a World Class Substack (H2BWCS) Kickstarter campaign. How did we do?I am very happy right now. This was our most backed Writer MBA campaign (768 backers) and my third most funded campaign ever. If you’re interested in seeing our marketing for this campaign, I kept track of everything here.
Now, back to this campaign. If you’re judging campaign success, I think:
A good campaign is 100 backer
A great campaign overall is 200-300 backers
An amazing is 500+ backers
An elite campaign is 1,000+backers
I’ve only gotten to 1,000+ backers once. I’ve gotten over 500 backers eleven times out of 42 campaigns, so about 25% of the time. Most of my novels campaigns are somewhere between 200-300 backers. I’m generally pretty happy if I can get 250 people to read one of my novels.
