I'm a pretty good tipper, usually. No matter where I go, if the little screen gives the ability to tip then I will give a tip.
I made that promise to myself last year.
I know you don't usually tip for a lot of things they ask for tips nowadays, but I also know people are barely paid a living wage and so I just decided that if I can't afford to tip, then I won't go to a place.
But this weekend I went somewhere that only accepts Zelle and cash. I planned to pay with Zelle b/c I only had big bills...
...but then Zelle was down and so I had no choice but to leave a fatty tip. I didn't even think twice. I just shrugged and handed way more money than I needed to, and didn't ask for change.
(I know what you're probably thinking, but I use cash so infrequently that it wasn't until I was in the car that I even thought about the ability to ask for change.)
